New mom.

That is kinda what I feel like after having Althea to myself for a week. I have never been so tired in all my life. A puppy must only be worse as her issues were separation anxiety based and are bound to end soon. One evening I gave up and after putting Althea to bed I went to spend the night at a friend's house. I only got about 5 1/2 hours but oh my goodness! It was amazing!!! I hadn't really realized until then just how little sleep I had been getting. I know I can't run away forever but it is kind of an option... I actually fell asleep (more like a loooooong blink) in my one on one at work. Oops.

Highlight of the week would have to be Saturday. Despite being crazy hot there was a nice breeze and our seats at the Sounders game were in the shade. Really pleasant weather-wise actually. We went to the rally beforehand in Pioneer Square which was fun. I do enjoy a good marching band. They were playing modern stuff too. Muse's Knights of Cydonia was quite fabulous as an instrumental. We had some great club seats and the best part of the match - we won! And not only did we win, but we beat the number one team in our league, Houston Dynamo! Yeah!!! In spite of the crazy ref that seemed to be playing for Houston too! Then we geocached our way home. At one point I had to grope the Ivar's seagull statue. Fortunately, all sorts of strange things happen on the waterfront so no one took more than a second glance. After copious amounts of strawberry lemonade for rehydration and Trophy cupcakes for strength there was a mini marathon of the season thus far of True Blood at my friend's house. That show is so addicting! Too much fun. And then that was the night of sleep as well. Hip, hip, hooray! Excellent day.

Sunday was more subdued and that was wonderful as well. Managed to get some chores done and take a wee nap. I want to dig through my stuff for a garage sale/Goodwill run before summer is over but I guess that'll have to wait for another weekend. I am enjoying the weather change. Rain is good every now and again in the summer. Cleans everything up and I don't have to water the plants as much. Still hope it clears up soon though.

Back to the daily grind with me. Here's hoping this week(end) turns out as well!
